I am so happy to hear that. =) We have a tree in our front yard that is very ugly and bare in the winter and fall, yet has very pretty popcorn-like flowers in the spring. That lesson is a beautiful example of how we can see God’s work in us better in some seasons than others, yet He is always working through our circumstances. Your three truths are a great reminder of what God is doing in our lives and moves us to praise and worship Him! THANK YOU for sharing this with us!

You asked if we could think of any other lessons God uses trees to teach us. It reminded us of a poem Joe's brother Jim wrote about 50 years ago. His analogy may mean more to us in northern states where we have distinct seasons that greatly affect the look of trees. Sometimes in the winter, we look at trees that have lost their leaves and see dead and dying branches that appear at first glance to be quite ugly. However, in spring, upon closer look, we see fresh living branches with buds that are about to grow into leaves that bring beauty to the trees. We can see an important lesson that God seems to be teaching us. We sense God telling us, "I am doing in your life what I am doing in the trees you see. I'm creating lush, abundant, fruitful branches on you, representative of my own beauty. Yet they do lie among barren dead sticks, areas of sin and imperfection. Just as happens to the tree, I am pruning those dead branches from you. Sometimes I leave a scar here or there to remind you of my healing process. I am creating a work of art in you, a masterpiece!"Joe and Mary Townerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10300987103596352733noreply@blogger.com
